A word on the OGL and what we’re working on

Hi, everyone. We here at Bone Shaker Games just want to touch base and let everyone know where we stand in the recent changes taking place in the gaming industry. As many of you may be aware, Wizards of the Coast and their parent company Hasbro have shaken things up recently by attempting to change the current Open Gaming License (OGL) that allows 3rd party creators like us to make gaming products compatible with Dungeons & Dragons. There has been quite the uproar involving this in the community over the past few weeks and we hope that this will cause WOTC to change their stance.

What does this mean for us? Well, it means we will not be releasing any D&D products until we have a clearer picture of the the legal landscape surrounding this. This means everything involved with Mistmoon, our D&D 5E setting, and some of our other projects will be shelved for now.

Have no fear. We want to let you know that we do not rely on other companies for our games and are in fact working on our own unique RPG system that will be featured in a new game we are calling “State of Perdition”. We will also be continuing work on our Amari Viaduct products. The first of which we hope to have ready for playtesting soon.Bone Shaker Games will always side with our fellow creators and oppose corporate greed. We urge all of you to continue to support small businesses and independent creators in the game industry. There will be much more to come and we hope you all are having a great start to the new year.
